When we read the baptismal story of Jesus, have you ever wondered, "Why did Jesus neeed to be baptized?" When John the Baptizer was baptizing people, it was the "baptism of repentance." So, why did a perfect, sinless jesus request John to baptize Him? What was Jesus repenting from? Or, is there another reason. And, when we read the 3 temptations in the wilderness that Jesus faced, we immediately think the obvious. Yet, the obvious is not always the primary reason. The same way the devil tempted Jesus is the same way he tempts us today.
