Today we begin a new sermon series on the Gospel of John. I have a confession to take about this sermon. We were having technical difficulties with our computers getting the Powerpoint slides to comes up on our screens. They would freeze up and then jump ahead, skipping over slides with information for people to fill-in their sermon outlines. In my excitement and passion, without realizing it, I threw my tech team under the bus. At the end of the service, my wife came down to tell me that my comment "getting these slides to change is like herding cats" was a cut on our tech team. She cared enough to let me know and since I had said what I said in front of the whole church, I apologize in front of of the whole church at the benediction to my tech team. I want anyone listening to this sermon to know this upfront because the apology is not in the sermon audio since it came at the end of our service. Thank you.
