Today, we pick up where we left off with Joseph in the Old Testament. He has been sold as a slave by his own brothers. He has gone through 3 promotions with his slave owner: Potiphar. Yet, Potiphar threw Jospeh into the royal prison for doing being the surrogate to his wife for her to have children. We saw that Potiphar was a enuch and to keep his wife from shame, gossip, rejection and humiliation, Joseph was purchased to be the means by which she would have childen.
Joseph was sold into slavery at the age of 17 and now 11 years have gone by. He is 28-years-old and what he can't see, is that he still has 2 more years to go before God orchestrates his promotion to Prime Minister over Egypt. You have been bearing the weight of criticism, ridicule, abuse, and heartache from others. Today, we learn how Jesus Christ wants us to respond by looking at Joseph's faith and obedienc through his own situation.
